What Quizgecko does well
Quizgecko is a generator first. Paste text, upload a document or point it at a web page and it writes multiple choice, true/false, short-answer and fill-in-the-blank questions in seconds, then exports them to the places a teacher needs them — a form, a slide, a classroom quiz tool. For someone whose job is writing assessments, that is the whole product, and it is good at it.
It also takes a wider range of input than MugUp — documents beyond PDF, and links — and it will make you a set of flashcards from the same source.
Where MugUp differs
MugUp is a place to keep answering, not a place to export from. The questions it writes are scheduled: get one right and it comes back later, miss it and it comes back sooner, across every subject you have, with a daily Review workout on Pro. There is no export, because the point is that the questions stay.
The generator has a dial, strict by default, that keeps every question inside your files and says when the material runs out; wrong answers can be explained; and the four game types include pair-match boards, which are a dozen acts of recall in one round. Around it sits the day: reading, writing, speaking, a focus timer, a streak and a Life Card.

Questions
Can I export MugUp’s questions to Kahoot, Google Forms or Quizlet?
No. MugUp has no export, because its questions are meant to be answered inside it on a spaced-repetition schedule. If you need a quiz to hand out, Quizgecko is built for that. What MugUp can do instead is publish a deck to the library — a free account plays or clones it, and a Discord server can play it with no account at all — and let a friend race you through the same questions live.
What question types does MugUp generate?
Four: multiple choice with plausible distractors, fill in the blanks with alternative answers and typo tolerance, two-sided flashcards, and pair-match boards of terms and meanings. No true/false and no short-answer marking.
Does MugUp read web links or Word documents?
No. It reads PDF, plain text and Markdown files, and notes typed on the Notes tab. No links, no DOCX, no slides, no scanned pages. Paste the text of a page into the Notes tab on Pro and the generator can work from that.
Can a teacher use MugUp with a class?
Not as a classroom tool. A teacher can publish a deck to the library; a student previews it signed out, and with a free account plays it or clones it into their own. In Discord, a whole server can work through a deck together with no account — twelve questions a day and a leaderboard. There is no gradebook and no assignment flow.
